The print head is composed of a row of heating elements, all of which have the same resistance. From 203dpi to 600dpi, these elements quickly generate a high temperature phenomenon after the current passes through, and transfer the content to the label through heating. The higher the resolution, the higher and more precise the resistance, so attention should be paid to the problem of broken pins during use.
When printing, if the label content is unclear or a fixed block is printed blank, we may speculate that there may be a problem with the print head. In this case, the quickest way is to directly replace a new set of print heads to avoid interrupting the printing task.
Labels that have not been used for a long time are prone to accumulate dust and moisture on the surface, or labels with poor quality are prone to uneven particles on the surface, which can easily cause damage to the print head during printing.
When using low-quality carbon tape and labels, it is necessary to increase the temperature and heat the print head during printing in order to print the content clearly The use of high-temperature heating is one of the reasons for the breakage of print heads and the shortened service life.
Using mismatched consumables: Many customers often use carbon ribbons with inconsistent sizes and widths to print with labels. If the width of the carbon ribbon is narrower than that of the label, the print head will wear directly on the label during heating printing, which can easily cause wear on the print head.
Roller, print head, consumables habits related: Roller is prone to accumulate dust or wear and tear over long-term use, resulting in uneven surfaces; It is recommended to regularly clean and inspect for any residue. If there is any unevenness on the surface, it is recommended to replace the roller to avoid missing printing content, which may be judged as a broken needle.
Without regular cleaning of the print head, long-term use can easily cause carbon buildup on the print head, which can lead to needle breakage over time.
It is recommended to send the print head with broken needles back to the original factory for testing, to actually understand the cause of the broken needles, and to confirm which work process or setting caused it, in order to avoid and prevent it as much as possible in the future!
